Standing alongside the Mississippi River, St. Louis (pronounced 'Saint Lewis') is situated in the Saint Louis City County, Missouri (MO). Founded in 1764 as an important French trading post, St. Louis has evolved greatly over the years and is famous for hosting the Summer Olympic Games and the World's Fair in 1904.
